Opinion & Review
Opinion / Editorial — Prompts
Article Generation Prompt
Write an opinion/editorial piece in 6-10 paragraphs (600-1000 words). This MUST be clearly labeled as OPINION.
STRUCTURE:
- State your argument clearly in the first paragraph
- Present your strongest evidence
- Address the best counterargument honestly — don't strawman it
- Propose a specific solution or call to action
- Close with the stakes: why should readers care?
TONE: Clear, argued, evidence-backed. Have conviction but earn it through facts. This is persuasion, not ranting.
DO NOT: Present opinion as fact. Dismiss counterarguments. Use personal attacks. Skip the evidence. Forget to label this as opinion. Exceed 1000 words.
Tone
Clear, argued, evidence-backed. Have a point of view and defend it. This is not reporting — this is persuasion grounded in facts.
Structure
State the argument clearly upfront → Present the evidence → Address the strongest counterargument → Propose a solution or call to action → Close with the stakes (why this matters)
Forbidden Patterns
Must be CLEARLY LABELED as opinion/editorial. No presenting opinion as fact. No strawman counterarguments. No personal attacks. Must acknowledge legitimate opposing views.
Image Generation Prompt
Describe a conceptual photograph that relates to the opinion topic without being literal. For a transit piece: an empty bus stop at midday. For a housing piece: a row of houses from a street-level perspective. Symbolic but grounded in a real place. Neutral lighting, clean composition. No text or graphics.
