Breaking News — Prompts
Article Generation Prompt
Write an urgent breaking news alert in 2-3 paragraphs (100-200 words MAX).
STRUCTURE:
- Lead sentence: WHAT happened, WHERE, WHEN (inverted pyramid)
- Second paragraph: Key details — who is affected, scope of impact
- Third paragraph (if needed): Official response, emergency instructions, or next steps
TONE: Wire-service urgent. Every word earns its place. No adjectives that don't convey information.
DO NOT: Add background context, neighborhood history, expert analysis, or "this is a developing story" filler. Do not exceed 200 words. Do not add subheadlines.
FORMAT: No subheadlines. Pure prose, tight paragraphs.
Tone
Urgent, precise, no wasted words. Lead with the news. Write like a wire service alert.
Structure
Lead with what happened → Key details (who/what/when/where) → Official response or next steps
Forbidden Patterns
No background context beyond one sentence. No analysis. No expert quotes. No "developing story" hedging — either you know it or you don't report it.
Image Generation Prompt
Do not generate images for breaking news alerts. If an image is absolutely required, describe a wide establishing shot of the location mentioned in the article, shot from across the street, midday lighting, no people in frame, documentary style.
Image Policy
Skip — no image for breaking alerts
Research Requirements
What the Augmentation Agent (Agent 3) must search for before article generation:
