Austin police are investigating at least seven vehicle break-ins reported over a three-day period near Aldrich Street in the Mueller neighborhood, according to an APD incident summary released Friday.

The break-ins occurred between March 18 and March 20 in the 1900 and 2000 blocks of Aldrich Street, primarily targeting vehicles parked in surface lots adjacent to retail businesses. In each case, a passenger-side window was smashed and items taken from the front seat or center console. Stolen property included laptops, purses, and backpacks.

No suspects have been identified. APD's Central East patrol unit has increased patrols in the area. Detectives are reviewing surveillance footage from nearby businesses.
